About Us & Governance

A Section 8 company, accountable by design.

WAI Industrial Forum was incorporated on 14 September 2026 as a company limited by guarantee under the Companies Act, 2013, with a licence under Section 8(1) issued by the Registrar of Companies, Central Registration Centre. Its registered office is at Wai MIDC, Satara.

What the Section 8 licence means

The licence (No. 191866, dated 14 Sep 2026) places binding conditions on the Forum. In summary:

  • Profits or income are applied solely to promote the Forum’s objects.
  • No dividend or profit is paid to members, directly or indirectly.
  • Changes to the Memorandum or Articles need prior Registrar approval.
  • May merge only with another Section 8 company with similar objects.
